The feature race for the 15th of the month at Newturf was the My Way De Solzen Hurdle and starred our champion two year old, Africa.
Africa has been the leading light at the Buzz yard over the past two seasons, landing our first Breeders' Cup Hurdle Final in almost a year and having proved very tough to beat in all subsequent top-class events.

Confidence was not at its highest for this latest challenge as we knew that he would be well short of optimum fitness levels. We were pleasantly surprised however to see his remarkable quality see him through and land yet another big prize. Africa's earnings now top €130 and he still has 2 or 3 more significant events to tackle before the term is out and on these occasions we would expect him to strip fitter. It will take a very good one and probably a fair bit of luck to see his colours lowered on any of these big occasions.
There remains a small chance that Africa will continue to race at three years but the likelihood is that he will be retired to stud at the end of the season. He is an outstanding stallion prospect and should prove to be a good earner for the Buzz team long after his racing career is over.
